Welcome to JCHP's web site!
Our project offers many opportunities for it's member to get together, to both learn and have fun.  Here is a listing  of some of the exciting activities offered:
 
  • Drill team
  • Hippology educational sessions
  • Judging educational sessions
  • Weekly riding/showmanship lessons (seasonal)
  • Participation at the Jefferson County Fair
  • Annual Recognition Banquet
  • Hippology, Judging, Poster, Speech county and state level competition
  • Horseless Horse Buddy program
  • Equine Ambassador program
  • Fundraisers include:  club tack sale, one yearly benefit show, stall cleaning for shows at fairgrounds and cheese sale


Currently our project has approximately 160 enrolled  members. They range in grades from 3 to 13

It is the purpose of our project:
 
  • To promote and implement educational programs in the area of horse science.
  • To assist in the development of educational activities in horse science that will enhance the growth and development of youth. 
  • To promote, sponsor and/or implement educational activities and events in horse science for youth.
  • To provide and/or encourage horse science and youth development education for certified volunteer leaders.
  • To ensure and enhance the safety and enjoyment of the JCHP pony project youth.
